The annual Colman Dillon Tourament took place today ( 14th Sept ) at our very well prepared grounds in Caherlag.From 9.30 am the teams and mentors starting arriving .Cars and buses were parked without difficulty in the various designated areas under .All parking arrangments were under the excellant stewardship of Brendan O Riordan and his many assistants.Proceedings commenced at 10.15 with the introduction of the various teams by MC Eoghan O Connor to the man of the moment Colman Dillon. This was followed by address of welcome by our Chairman Sean Twohig.A brief address was then given by Colman and following the playing of our National Anthrem the first games commenced at 10.45.
Great crowds were present at the three venues to support and encourage the young players.
The 1st round results were ; St.Marys ( Clonmel ) 0-5 Glen Rovers 3-5 ; Liam Mellow ( Galway ) 2-1 Midleton 3-3

Following this series of games ,all of which provided fantastic entertainment a very appreciative audience we were down to the finals .
In the premier final Glen Rovers took on defending champions Kilmacud and despite giving a fine display had to give way to a superb Dublin side on a scoreline of 7-4 to 2-1 .
In the shield final Cobh proved to strong for the hosts on a scoreline of 5-11 to 2-10.
The event concluded with the presentation of the trophies to the winning captains by Colman ,whilst each team menber was presented with a special scroll.
