Senior Hurling Championship Erins Own 1-17 CIT 1-14
Blackrock was the venue for the first round of the senior hurling championship this year against CIT, the Rockies had the pitch in superb condition, but the rain hampered conditions in making it very slippery, Erins Own from the start looked the better side in this damp night but CIT never left us pull away even at half time there was only a four point lead for Erins Own & losing Kilian Murphy to a shoulder injury was a huge loss to the full backline Dara Twomey stepped to replace Kilian, the second half saw CIT up the pace & closing the gap, with both sides exchanging points the sides were soon level with minutes to go, With Eoghan Murphy firing over 10 points in total on the night & the on form Cian O Callaghan finding the net in the dying minutes was enough for Erins Own to get over the line, Cormac Dooley, Cian O Connor, Kilian Murphy, James O Carroll, Eoghan Murphy & Cian O Callaghan played well for Erins Own
