Senior Hurling Championship Quarter Final: Erins Own 3-16 Imokilly 2-19,   24/09/17

A sunny Sunday afternoon in Pairc UI Rinn for this Senior Hurling Q Final clash between Erins Own & Imokilly, Imokilly started the better of the two sides with a few nice points but had a lot of wides, Eoghan Murphy in good form opened the scoring for Erins Own with a point from free, Mossy Carroll followed with another from play, Eoghan put over another 5 & 1 from Robbie O Flynn to give Erins Own a lead of 8 points to 4 but on the 25 minute Imokilly found the net & followed on with 4 points, The lively Cian O Callaghan got a point right on the buzzer for half time which saw Imokilly go in with a lead of 1-08 to 0-09, Two changes at half time saw Andrew power being introduced for Sean Kelly & Mark Collins coming on for Kieran Murphy, Cian O Callaghan open the second half for Erins Own with a point & Eoghan & Mark Collins also putting one over, in the 11^th minute Imokilly again found the net & had a clear two goal lead, Steven Horgan came on & almost straight away fired one over the bar, Alan Bowen Mossy Carroll & Eoghan Murphy all adding another point each to leave it 1-16 to 2-16 with 5 minutes to go, Imokilly got another two points & had a lead of a goal & two points with three minutes left on the clock, Some heads would have dropped at this stage but not Robbie O Flynn who leapt to the air to catch the sliotar & ran through the imokilly defence & sending it passed the Imokilly man of the match Declan Dalton to give Erins Own a life line, A minute later in to injury time Eoghan Murphy found the net to give Erins Own a one point lead, Imokilly were awarded a free which they put over the bar to level the game & was to be the final puck of the ball which saw the game end in a draw a fare result in a game either side could have one in the last minute, Replay is fixed for next Saturday the 30^th Cian O Callaghan, Eoghan Murphy, Mark Collins, Shane Murphy & Mossy Carroll all played well for Erins Own,
