U14 Camogie County League, Game 3 V. Killeagh
A fantastic and hard‑earned result for Erin’s Own in Game 3 of the U14 County League.
Last Saturday brought glorious sunshine to Caherlag as Killeagh made the trip up to face us. The opening half was tight, tense and evenly matched, with very little separating the sides. After the break, Killeagh pushed hard and really tested the girls’ mental and physical resilience. But our group stood firm. They never took a step backwards, even under some hefty challenges, and the character and exemplary discipline the Erins Own girls showed throughout was nothing short of outstanding.
In the end, we got exactly what we deserved, a fully earned victory and we now march on to the last 16 of the county knockout phase. Our quarter‑final will be a very tough test against fellow divisional side Castlelyons. Finishing top of the group gives us the advantage of a home fixture, and it would be brilliant to see a strong crowd out to support the girls. The game must be played before Sunday, 31 May.
Fair play to all the girls, and the very best of luck in the quarter‑final ahead.
