Another busy week around Caherlag with plenty happening both on and off the field as club developments continue to move forward and our teams remain in action across all grades. 👏
🏗️ Club Development Update Work officially commenced this week on the roofing project at the club grounds. This is another significant step forward in improving our facilities for all members and visitors. We look forward to sharing further updates as work progresses.
💦 Irrigation Project Update Works have also begun on the digging of our new well, which will form a key part of the irrigation system for the top pitch. This project will greatly enhance our ability to maintain playing surfaces throughout the year and is an important investment in the future of our facilities.
🎓 Congratulations to our Exam Students A huge well done to all Erin’s Own members who have completed, or are coming to the end of, their Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate examinations. Months of hard work and dedication have brought you this far and everyone in Erin’s Own wishes you every success in your results and future plans.
🏐 LGFA Commiserations to our U13 LGFA team who were defeated by Naomh Abán in the County Final last week on a scoreline of 3-07 to 2-04. While the result didn’t go our way, it was a fantastic achievement to reach a County Final and a proud occasion for the club. Well done to all the players and management team on a tremendous campaign.
🏑 Camogie Best of luck to our U14A Camogie team who contest the County League Final against Barryroe on Tuesday 23rd June at 7:15pm in Castle Road. We wish the players and management every success as they bid for county honours.
⭐ County Success Congratulations to Aimee Corcoran and the Cork Senior Ladies Footballers who recorded a superb one-point victory over Waterford at the weekend, winning on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-14. Best of luck to Aimee and all involved in the weeks ahead.
⚽ Cork Minor Football Best of luck to Darragh O’Sullivan and the Cork Minor Footballers as they take on Derry in the All-Ireland Minor Football Semi-Final this Saturday at 4pm in Parnell Park. Darragh and his teammates have had a fantastic season so far and we wish them every success in their quest to reach the All-Ireland Final. 🔴⚪
🏑 Cork Senior Hurlers Best of luck to Robbie O’Flynn and the Cork Senior Hurlers as they face Offaly in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Quarter-Final this Sunday at 3:30pm in Thurles. Safe travels to all Erin’s Own supporters making the journey. 🔴⚪
👏 Cork Minor Hurlers Hard luck to Dave Nolan and the Cork Minor Hurlers who were narrowly defeated by Tipperary in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Semi-Final. Dave, along with Peter Kelly and Jimmy Condon, can be extremely proud of their efforts throughout a fantastic campaign.
