Ta súil agam go bfhuil sibh go maith agus ag baint taitneamh as na laethanta fada agus an aimsir breá. The Season is in full swing with activity in Páirci Uí Chonaill, Caherlag from dawn till dusk. I hope your enjoying our wonderful Facilities maintained perfectly by Timmy Lambe and his Colleagues. 

Tomorrow marks another milestone for the Club with the Launch of the Capital Development Fundraiser. Cairde Rogha Éireann have worked tirelessly over the past six months to bring this initiative to fruition. It is an integral part of our Five Year Capital Development Programme. You will notice during your recent visits to Caherlag that work has started on some of the projects, namely the re-roofing of the Áras and the Irrigation System for the top pitch. In the next few weeks a new Flood Lighting System will be installed on the top pitch and a new Kitchen in the Áras. Total outlay this year on Capital Projects will be €350,000. 

Currently we are planning the Capital Projects for 2027. These include the Construction of a Community Walkway with a Sensory Garden, the construction of an extension to the Áras for a New Gym and the purchase of Land for the development of a New Pitch. These projects are essential to cater for the increased demand on our existing Facilities and to complete the transition to the One Club Model. In keeping with our Sustainability Programme we are presently planning the installation of Solar Panels on the Áras. The projected cost of the Projects is €2.5m.  

The Capital Development Fundraiser is the model chosen for the Members contribution to the overall Capital Budget. Members are asked to contribute €5 per week / €20 per month  over five years. We anticipate this will generate €650,000. Cairde Rogha Éireann has designed an online payment method  with various payment options which will go live on ClubZap and our Website tomorrow. A QR Code will be contained on Signage, Posters and Fliers. Full details and any queries will be dealt with at the Launch. 

The success of the Capital Development Fundraiser is critical to the successful completion of our Projects. Rogha Éireann is embedded in the Community of Glounthaune Parish.It is dedicated to the promotion of Gaelic Games, health / wellbeing and providing a social outlet to people of all ages. With your support is féidir linn !
